Emerson constantly strives to explore the poten
tial
and extend the boundaries of the cellos place in contemporary music. Passionate
and exciting, both musically and visually, she captivates audiences with
her unique improvised performances on electric cello with loops and effects.
Her solo CD 'Kissing Nettles' had been played on BBC Radio 3 as well as
the internet station Totally Radio.
Bela has been playing jazz, folk, rock and experimental music on the cello for over 20 years. In addition to her solo work, she plays in a wide variety of bands and other projects. Bela has recorded 5 Peel sessions with Pico and worked recently with British Sea Power. She can be found regularly playing in venues and busking in Brighton, where she lives.
